With the warm and sunny weather only a few days away, more of us will start turning to yummy ice creams, ice lollies and icy beverages to keep cool. However, for those of you trying to be healthier, the thought of trying to keep away from those calorific ice creams is probably filling you with dread. Although, this doesn’t have to be the case. You can easily create your own homemade ice cream recipe that tastes amazing and isn’t full of calories. You don’t need an ice cream maker either so it’s super cheap and easy to do.
Feel free to adapt this recipe to suit your tastes. There are so many great combinations you could try. All I do when trying to think of new recipes is to think of the flavour combinations that I love and turn them into delicious ice creams that are so much healthier and so tasty too!

Ingredients
- 400grams of frozen fruit
- 500 grams – Natural Yogurt
- Runny honey – or agave syrup
Method
- Mix the honey/syrup and yoghurt in a bowl until combined.
- Put the frozen fruit in to a good blender and add the yogurt and honey and mix until smooth.
- Place into your desired containers (I went for ice lolly moulds) and put in to the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until ready to eat.
- It really is as simple as that and only takes minutes to do. If you have a blender of some kind you can easily make this recipe and you don’t need any skills in the kitchen to pull this off! Impress your friends this summer by whipping out your homemade ice cream!
